How to Continue Row or Column Numbers Across Sheets

If you wish to number rows and columns continuously across multiple drawings, you can use a title block or startref block on each sheet to define the start index for that sheet.

This option for referencing is mutually exclusive to the use of a sheet number for referencing. Both options require their own value in the startref or title block.

If using a title block the block name needs to match the title block pattern configured in Setup.

Procedure

1. Insert a startref block on each of the drawings you wish to include in the reference sequence.

   • For a startref block set the attribute to the desired start number for the sheet.

   • For a title block set the STARTREF attribute to the desired start number for the sheet.

2. Add one of the continuous reference options to the reference text. Note that you can only use either continuous row numbering or continuous column numbering but not both at the same time. See Configuring the Reference Text for how to add these options to the reference text.
