How to Keep Terminal Numbers Horizontal

Terminal Number Orientation

Device symbols have up to six terminal number attributes. Discrete terminal symbols have one or two visible terminal number attributes. On a vertical symbol, these are aligned with the conductor (vertical). The text is read from the right side of the drawing.

You can elect to force the terminal numbers to be aligned with the bottom of the drawing (horizontal) regardless of the symbol orientation.

If this option is enabled, vertical symbols are modified immediately after insertion to rotate the terminal numbers. Changing this option will have no effect on existing symbols.

  1. Choose Preferences from the Elecdes Menu. You will be presented with the Elecdes Preferences Dialog .

  2. Go to the General tab page.

  3. Tick Force horizontal terminal numbers if you always want the terminal numbers to be horizontal.
