How to Split or Re-Join a Terminal Strip
Long terminal strips may be split and drawn in multiple separate terminal strip diagrams. Each part of a split strip can be drawn separately. Split terminal strips can be re-joined.
Each part of a split terminal strip is listed individually in the device and terminal strip list on the Main dialog, and in the terminal strip list on the T-Strip Edit dialog. Each entry has a numerical suffix to indicate which of the split parts it represents.
Terminal strips MAY have a split part which is not on the current DWG file. When these are listed they are labelled "OffDrawing" instead of a split number such as [1].
The function "Add Terminal From Split" allows you to move a terminal into the current terminal strip from another split part of that strip.
Procedure to Split a terminal strip
-
Open the T-Strip Edit dialog of the Wiring Diagram Generator and select the terminal strip that you want to split.
-
Select a single terminal from the strip. That terminal will become the first terminal of the second strip when split.
-
Click the [V.Split] button to split the strip.
-
If you have edited the terminal strip, you will be asked to save the changes before the strip can be split. If you want to proceed, click the [Yes] button.
-
The selected terminal and all terminals below that terminal will be removed from the terminal list. These terminals will be available as a separate terminal strip entry with the same terminal strip name and a numerical suffix.
Procedure to Join a split terminal strip
-
Open the T-Strip Edit dialog of the Wiring Diagram Generator.
-
Select any part of the terminal strip that you want to join to the other parts.

Click the [V.Join] button to join the strip.
-
If you have edited the terminal strip, you will be asked to save the changes before the strip can be joined. If you want to proceed, click the [Yes] button.

All of the split parts of the terminal strip will be re-joined into a single strip.
