Global Edit

Global Editor enables the user to alter attributes and other data from multiple circuit components in Elecdes and Paneldes. The components can exist on different drawings. Multiple drawings may be edited in the same operation.

PowerCAD Users:

When using the Global Editor to modify drawing files with Ebase: Drawing files must be saved in a supported AutoCAD DWG file format.

Getting Started

General Operation Procedure.

How to:

Use the Global Editor Window.

Filter components by class.

Select components.

Select a group of components.

Show only the selected components.

Show only the components selected for Update in Elecdes / Paneldes.

Insert Termination Blocks.

Change which fields the component list displays.

Change the sort order of the components.

Modify component data.

Select component specifications from the catalog.

Clear component catalog data.

Increment or decrement component data.

Browse edit component data.

Edit non-Elecdes blocks.

Edit text entities.

Map Attribute names in symbols to names suitable for Global Editing and Reporting.
