How to Adjust the Column Width of a Database Field

Procedure

There are several methods to resize columns.

• Click on a column divider and drag with the mouse.

• Select Columns > Set Column Width from the Context Menu or Edit Menu. Enter a new column width in pixels and click OK.

• Double click the column divider to automatically fit the width of the column to the width of the text currently visible in the column.

• Select Columns > Autofit Column Width from the Context Menu or Edit Menu, to automatically fit the width of the column to the width of the text currently visible in the column.

Note: Resizing columns does not affect the number of characters that can be entered into a field. To change the data width of fields, modify the database structure.
