How to Cross Reference Coils and Contacts

This function will perform a complete cross-reference on all of the drawings included in the current project. The data is extracted into a database file, ??XREF.DBF. After cross-reference analysis, the current drawing will have reference data reloaded.

Procedure

Ensure that your current drawing is included in the current project. If it is not then there will be no cross-referencing information generated for the drawing. See Ebase for more information on Elecdes Projects.
Select Cross-reference this sheet from the Elecdes > Cross Ref. menu.
You will be asked to select the cross-reference information and components that you wish to update. You may select one or many items with windows, crossing boxes, picking individual blocks etc. The items selected (only) will have their cross references and lists updated. If you press <ENTER> then ALL items on the drawing will be selected for cross referencing.
This function will save the current drawing and execute a cross-reference analysis for the complete project.
The database file ??XREF.DBF will be generated in the current directory. This file contains complete cross-referencing data for all of the drawings in the current project.

The cross-reference file, ??XREF.DBF, may also be generated by enabling Cross Ref. Reports from the Ebase main menu.
The function will then place cross-referencing information, to the selected items on the current drawing only.

Reference Annotation Order

Cross-reference lists are ordered as follows:

Main components before modular components.
Lower subcomponents numbers before higher e.g. *0 before *2 and *M0 before *M2
Errors are listed last.
Lower sheet numbers first.
Lower X/Y positions first.
