How to Include Devices in a Strip
Small rail-mounted devices can be drawn as a terminal strip, for example a strip of miniature circuit breakers. Devices and discrete terminals can be included together in the same strip.
Strips of devices can be edited. Devices in a strip can be arranged and the strip can be split exactly the same as a regular terminal strip in Wirediag. You can add spare devices to a strip by choosing a device specification for the spares.
Wirediag will draw devices in a strip if the TAGNAME of each device matches a specific pattern.
Device naming
To be included in a strip, the TAGNAME of each device should contain the strip name, followed by a specific delimiter, followed by a device name or number.
For example:
"X1:Q3" will draw in a strip named "X1" and this device will be "Q3".
A device named "X1:Q4" will appear in the same "X1" strip as device "Q4".
"TB1:CB3" will draw in a strip named "TB1" and this device will be "CB3".
A device named "TB1:CB4" will appear in the same "TB1" strip as device "CB4".
Any device named in such a way will always draw as part of a strip, not as an individual device wiring diagram.
Tagname delimiter
The delimiter can be changed by directly editing the EL32.INI file and modifying the following setting. Enter your choice of a single character delimiter after the equals. The default delimiter is a colon.
