How to Add Components to the Database

General

By adding a component directly to a folder, you choose the type of ratings to be associated with the component. The new component will not be contained within any other component. After the component has been created, you can link it to a container component if required.

Procedure

1. Right click the folder in the tree to which the component is to be added. The folder you choose should be the ratings folder in which to create the ratings record for the component.

   

2. Select "Add" from the popup menu, this displays the component builder dialog specific to the type of component the folder can contain. A description of the procedure for the different types of components follows.
