Instrument Tag Symbols

General

Instrument tag symbols are often referred to as "bubbles" or "balloons".

They represent the tagging information of an instrument to be drawn on an Instrument Loop diagram or P&ID.

Symbol File names

The file/block names for all Instrument Tag symbols begin with a prefix of 'hl' or 'vl'.

e.g. "'hlsdalni.dwg"

The 'l' in the block name identifies the symbol as an Instrument Tag symbol.

The files for these symbols are all found in the following directories:

• Instrument Tag symbols: <EDS >\IMP_LOOP and <EDS >\MET_LOOP (for metric users);

Instrument tag symbols can be found on the Elecdes > Symbols > ISA instrument symbols icon menu.
