Viewing a Single Drawing

To view a DWG file select OPEN from the file menu, or press the OPEN FILE button on the toolbar. This will display the File Open Dialogue.

Select the drawing you wish to view.

PAN the drawing

You can use the horizontal and vertical scroll bars to PAN and view different areas of the drawing.

ZOOM Options

There are four methods to zoom to a new scale/view of the drawing. Zooming does not affect printing.

• ZOOM ALL

   Press 'A' on the keyboard OR press the Zoom ALL toolbar button to fit the entire drawing to the current windows view.

• ZOOM IN

   Press '+' on the keyboard OR press the Zoom + toolbar button to zoom in to a closer view of the drawing.

   The zoom factor is approximately 25% each time zoom in is selected.

• ZOOM OUT

   Press '-' on the keyboard OR press the Zoom - toolbar button to zoom out to a larger area of the drawing.

   The zoom factor is approximately 25% each time zoom in is selected.

• ZOOM WINDOW

   Press 'Z' on the keyboard OR press the Zoom Window toolbar button to select a windowed area of the drawing to fit to the display.

   The cursor will immediately have a small rectangle attached.

   Select the first corner of the window with a left mouse click.

   The cursor may then be moved to drag out a rectangle, over the drawing, selecting an area or "window" to zoom to.

   Click the left mouse button when the zoom area is as required.
