Size of a Terminal in a Terminal Strip

Terminal Size

The settings in the Terminal Size group enable you to control the size of each terminal in the terminal strip diagram. These are parametric sizes. If you change the values, the terminal strip diagrams will change size.

The settings should be in drawing units.

Height

The height of a single terminal box in a strip in drawing units.

Width

The width of a single terminal box in a strip in drawing units.

Extra space wire 2, 3

Additional height added if the terminal has two or three conductors.

The Extra space wire 2, 3 value is not added to the height if the terminal has only a single conductor. If you do not want any extra height added for two or three conductors, set this value to 0.

A terminal that is marked as an earth bar can show an unlimited number of conductors on one side. The terminal graphic for an earth bar is stretched automatically to fit the number of conductors that are connected.

You can specify that a terminal represents an earth bar from the schematic by setting the RSTATUS attribute or catalog column of the terminal to "BARTERM". RSTATUS is a new attribute and would need to be added to terminal symbols from EDS versions prior to 8.0.

These settings can be found on the Terminal Strips tab page of the wiring diagram settings dialog.
