Termination and Crimp block

The termination block combines the function of defining:

  • The specification for a crimp lug for an end of a conductor.

The catalog specification for the crimp is copied to the CRIMP fields in the conductor reports for each wire and cable core (conductor) termination.

  • The text for a wire label or ferrule for an end of a conductor.

The wire label is copied to the FERRULE fields in the conductor reports for each wire and cable core (conductor) termination.

  • The order of the terminations of a wire in the wire report.

A sequence of numbers entered into the NUMB attribute of a termination block at each end of a wire will be used to set the order of the terminations in the wire report.

This has no effect on cable core (conductor) schedules.

  • The specification for a gland for the end of a cable when placed on a single line cable diagram.

The catalog specification for the gland is copied to the GLAND_A/B fields in the Cabsch report.

  • Insulation information for the terminations of a cable when placed on a single line cable diagram.

The termination symbol has the name hsconx.dwg or vsconx.dwg. A termination block is placed at each point where a conductor terminates at a device or discrete terminal.
