How to Set Wire and Cable Extension Symbol Lengths

Wire and Cable Extension Symbols

If you have made your own wire and/or cable extension marker symbols then you will need to tell Elecdes how long these symbols are, in order to achieve proper alignment. These symbols have a "smart snap" insertion procedure that ensures the symbol is correctly placed on the end of a wire, irrespective of the orientation of the wire. This "smart snap" requires the length of the symbols.

Procedure

1. Choose Preferences from the Elecdes Menu. You will be presented with the Elecdes Preferences Dialog.

2. Go to the Cables/Wires tab page

3. You will see the Wire and Cable Extension Markers group box shown below

4. You can set the length in drawing units of each of the symbols
